Yoga Studios in L.A.

L.A. is packed full of yoga studios, they come in so many shapes and sizes that it can be difficult to know where to go. Here are 4 great studios that are definitely worth trying out.

LoveYoga

A gorgeous boutique studio in Venice & Echo Park. Classes are held throughout the day in Vinyasa, Restorative, Acro Yoga plus lots of workshops from New Moon Circle, Inversions, Partner Yoga and even Goat Yoga (Goga?!). The class I attended had a great balance of breathing and asana work while weaving in some meditations and intention setting throughout the class, I really loved this one.

Yoga Nest

In the heart of Venice, Yoga Nest has a really special energy from the moment you walk through the doors. An authentic community feel, it is every bit the beachside ‘nest' where everyone is welcome. Classes are mainly Vinyasa and Hatha with a few extras like meditation, yoga for kids, chill yin and Reggae Fridays.

Yogaraj

In a residential area of Santa Monica, yogaraj offers vinyasa, restorative and fundamentals classes along with some great workshops and special events to deepen your practice. The space is simple and welcoming with a focus on high quality teaching from a range of great teachers throughout the day.

Y7

Y7 takes a yoga class and steps it slightly outside of the hip hop box. The lights turn off, the candles are lit, the infrared heat rises and the tunes start thumping. Challenging flows are set to the bass, the first round guided, the second round is a one breath flow and the third round the music is really raised and you’re free to flow to your hearts content. Come prepared to sweat for a totally different yoga experience.

There are loads more studios I wanted to try in L.A. but sadly I didn’t have time. Alo Beverly Hills offer classes above their shop which are free to try and sounds fantastic. Where do you yoga in L.A. and where should I check out on my next visit? Let me know below.
